1. How does MDRI help PMI members?
MDRI provides assistance to PMI members and their dependants who find themselves
in need as a result of any man-made or natural disasters; e.g. fires, floods,
hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
2. What kind of assistance is available?
MDRI provides assistance for need related to housing, employment, food,
clothing, healthcare, coping services, insurance claims services, and other
needs as determined by MDRI.
3. How do I apply for assistance from MDRI?
Apply by completing the “Request for Assistance” form on the MDRI website at
www.membersdisasterrelief.org
4. Who is a MDRI Sponsor?
A MDRI Sponsor is a volunteer PMI member or business professional in the
geographic area where the member-in-need is located. The sponsor will work with
the member-in-need to identify the type and level of assistance necessary and
provide one-on-one assistance to help the member-in-need through the program.
5. Why should I volunteer with MDRI?
Giving your time to MDRI helps your fellow PMI members in need, broadens your
experience with a charitable organization; helps you learn about disasters and
disaster preparedness; and contributes to a worthy cause.
6. How may I volunteer?
Complete and submit the Sponsor Registration Form on the MDRI website at
www.membersdisasterrelief.org
7. Who can donate to MDRI?
Any individual, organization, or corporate entity, including PMI Chapters, SIGs
and Colleges.
8. Why should I donate to MDRI?
It helps your fellow PMI colleagues in their time of need, and might some day
provide you with assistance.
9. Why should my Chapter, SIG, or College contribute to MDRI?
To help ensure the continuity of your membership affected by disasters.
10. What does it mean to my company to contribute to MDRI?
Contributing to MDRI helps your PMI member employee-in-need affected by
disasters while providing an income tax deduction for your business.
